About me
Hi, I'm Eser. Hello from California!
My name is Eser Tozum Stockhausen. I’m a nine-language conference interpreter with 20 years’ international interpreting experience. I was born in beautiful Istanbul, Turkey. I moved to the Netherlands with my family at the age of four. I grew up in the heart of vibrant Amsterdam. As a little girl I soon became bilingual and realised the importance of learning languages in a multicultural city like Amsterdam. I graduated from the University of Amsterdam with a Master’s degree in Communication Sciences. I have a great passion for learning languages, exploring different cultures and travelling across continents. After learning 9 languages, it was time to turn my love of languages into an international career. I became a simultaneous interpreter and have travelled the world as a conference interpreter.
I’m based in sunny Los Angeles, California. I specialise in simultaneous interpretation. I’ve interpreted around the world for heads of state, departments of education and justice, European Union and United Nations projects, multinational corporations and live national television. My clients include international brands such as Philips, Bridgestone, Hero and many others. I provide consecutive interpreting services for press conferences, legal and medical interpreting and for football organisations such as FIFA and the Champions League. I am passionate about building bridges and fostering understanding through language and professional interpreting.
